Consultations & Technical Assistance

Working With Viable Food Systems

Communities exploring grocery development or facing the loss of an existing store often need practical guidance early in the process. Viable Food Systems offers consultations and technical assistance services to help communities evaluate options, plan viable grocery projects, and stabilize existing stores.

Some communities are able to fund this work directly, while others receive assistance through grants or partnerships. We are happy to begin with a conversation about your situation. If you are unsure whether your community’s situation is viable, we encourage you to start with a conversation. An initial consultation is always free, and our goal is simply to help you understand your options.
